Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems are very popular in commercial office buildings. While these systems typically provide adequate room temperature control, there are often concerns about air movement and humidity control at part load conditions. In addition, the amount of energy consumed by the supply fans in these "all-air" systems is often second only to the energy consumed by the lights in a typical commercial building in North America.
